Morena Soul
A local favorite from Austin, TX. Since 2011 Morena Soul have been playing constantly on several clubs, bars, events and restaurants all over town and close by cities. Samba, MPB and many other variations are the strongest elements in their music. They are well known in the area mainly because of their high energetic show that sets everyone in the party mood and ready to dance.

Austin's own Brazilian Pop Rock Band . Since 2008 playing classics from the 80's and 90's from some of the most well known Brazilian bands. Always a very exciting and high octane performance. 2014 brings Fusca XR3 roaring its motor again with a stronger line up and a great new set list.
Seu Jacinto
Based in Austin, Texas, Seu Jacinto is a music group interested in introducing and developing traditional Northeastern Brazilian culture to Central Texas.Our work as a grassroots collective has been focused on the traditional regional music forms of Northeastern Brazil, more specifically the state of Pernambuco and surrounding areas. The opportunity to share aspects of Brazilian culture that are generally overshadowed is a wonderful means for them to share their passion with the public, establish a community and add yet more flavor to our funky city.

Maracatu Austin is a percussion group that focuses its studies on the many diverse rhythms from the Northeastern culture of Brazil. Their goal is to create cultural awareness and and community through the drum. While not a traditional Maracatu society, their main focus is to study and learn about the rich and powerful rhythms of maracatu drumming . It is also their mission to admire,study and share many rhythms of the World where the rhythms show us no borders,and instead tell the tale of unity.
With each beating heart there is rhythm , when we come together to mimic the heartbeat with our drums we create healing, this is great medicine. Let's drum!

Mente Clara is An Austin band dedicated to playing music by and inspired by Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti, and other Brazilian masters. They bring this "Universal Music" to anyone willing to listen. Advanced and grooving, this is music for both the mind and the soul.
